If you are an artist interested in contributing art to the library, here's the scoop:
The Benefits
* Share your art with your community in a unique and intimate way. It will be in folk's homes and businesses!
* Sell your artwork at 70% commission, better than the typical 50% at most galleries.
* Expose your art to a wider audience. Members of the Library are a diverse and colorful group of North Fork Valley residents.
* Connect with other local artists in the community.
How it works
* You can contribute as many pieces as you'd like, and any media is welcome.
* Your art will be displayed at any or all of the CSArt Library galleries: the main gallery at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts or the small business galleries at the Hive, the Living Farm Cafe, or the Back Country Bistro.
* Your art will be up for sale at a price that you set. You get 70% of the sale amount. The Library keeps 30% commission to support the CSArt Library, Elsewhere Studios, and the Blue Sage.
* Members can check out your art from the Blue Sage to have in their homes or offices for up to 4 months. Your art is not check out-able when it is in a business gallery space.
* While your art is checked out and hanging in someone's home or office it may not be sold to anyone else until it has been returned to the library. If art is lost, stolen, or damaged while on loan, the Library will do its best to collect the value of the art from the member responsible. When members sign up they agree to pay for lost, stolen, or damaged art work.
*Our Artists follow these professional guidelines for photographing, framing, and packaging in preparation of submitting artwork to the library
